Partners and donations

Where the work happens, and what the money does.

AURIS does not work alone. The identity work is delivered with organisations that people already trust, in places they already go. Organisational work funds free community access, so paid learning keeps the free learning open.

This page says who those partners are and what a donation pays for. If something here is not clear, ask us and we will answer plainly.

The delivery partners

Trafford Veterans CIC

Trafford, Greater Manchester

Who it reaches: Veterans and their families, many of them years past the point where formal resettlement support ended.
What we deliver: Identity sessions delivered alongside the existing community programme, so people meet the work somewhere they already trust.
What funding pays for: Funding here pays for facilitated group sessions, printed workbooks for people who prefer paper to a screen, and travel for the facilitator.

Out in the Bay

Morecambe Bay, Lancashire

Who it reaches: LGBTQ+ people in the Bay area, including service leavers and people whose sense of who they are has been unsettled by more than one change at once.
What we deliver: Identity work delivered inside an established safe space, at the pace the group sets.
What funding pays for: Funding here pays for session facilitation, room and refreshment costs, and free Academy access for people who could not otherwise pay for a course.

Red Rose Recovery

Lancashire

Who it reaches: People rebuilding their lives in recovery, where identity, routine and belonging are already the daily work.
What we deliver: Identity sessions and facilitator development, so the approach stays available after a visit ends.
What funding pays for: Funding here pays for facilitator training and supervision, so the people already in the room can keep doing the work without us.

What a donation actually does

Donations are not needed for you to use AURIS. Introduction to AURIS is free and always will be. If you do give, this is what it goes on.

Free community access: Free Academy places for people referred through a partner organisation, so cost is never the reason someone stops.
Delivery on the ground: Facilitation, travel, room costs and printed materials for sessions run with Trafford Veterans CIC, Out in the Bay and Red Rose Recovery.
The research programme: Interview transcription, analysis time and publication costs for Identity After the Uniform, the study the courses are built from.
Keeping the platform open: Hosting, accessibility work and maintenance, so the free first course stays free and stays online.

AURIS never monetises vulnerability. Nobody is asked to give in order to be supported, and no free access depends on a donation.

Donations are handled by the campaign at our fundraising page, not on this website.
