Motivational Interviewing & Goal Setting
Why advice rarely changes behaviour, and what actually does. The core skills of motivational interviewing, and how to help someone set a goal that survives contact with real life.
This page shows what the AURIS research records actually hold behind this course: the coded themes it draws on, the research projects it belongs to and the publications that carry the argument. Nothing is listed here that is not already recorded elsewhere.

No coded theme in the interview log names the same ground as this course yet. Coding is under way, and themes will appear here once they are recorded. We do not list themes we cannot show the work behind.
What the course record states
This course draws on established, evidenced external research: William Miller and Stephen Rollnick's Motivational Interviewing, and Edwin Locke and Gary Latham's goal-setting theory, applied through the AURIS Framework. Like The Communication Reset, this content is not drawn from AURIS's own interview research. That distinction is stated plainly, the same honest-sourcing standard used throughout the rest of the Academy.
Research projects
No published research project record names the same ground as this course yet.
