Crisis Churn

Changing jobs won’t always change your life.

By the end you will be able to spot the pattern that keeps pulling you back into crisis and interrupt it earlier.

Part of the AURIS approach to identity, stability and human development.

  • Applied
  • £10.00
  • Certificate on completion

If every fresh start ends in the same place, the problem may not be your career. Learn why identity often sits beneath repeated cycles of frustration.

£10.00 one-off payment, lifetime access

  1. 1. Sign in, or create a free account. It takes a name, an email address and a password.
  2. 2. Pay by card on the course page. The payment form is Stripe's own, so AURIS never sees or stores your card details.
  3. 3. The course opens straight away and stays in your library. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

A certificate is issued when you finish every lesson and pass the assessment.

Who this course is for

“I have had three jobs in two years and none of them fitted.”

Leaving jobs repeatedly after service is rarely about the jobs. Choosing from identity clarity changes what you pick next.

Where this course fits

Where it sits
Specialist learning inside the After Service pathway.
What usually comes before
Most people take Recognising the Delay before this one, though nothing here requires it.
What usually comes next
Leading After the Rank is next in the After Service pathway. For the part of the loss that is about standing, not salary.

This course can be taken together with other qualifying AURIS short courses as one bundle, priced by how many you choose. See how bundles work.

A pathway is a suggested order, not a requirement. Nothing here has to be bought to make this course work.

About this course

A short course on why leaving jobs repeatedly after service is rarely about the jobs themselves, and how to job-hunt, interview and choose roles from a position of identity clarity instead of just taking whatever's offered next.

What you will learn

  • Understand crisis churn and why it's an identity pattern, not a work-ethic problem
  • Recognise the aspirational-vs-operational identity gap in your own job search
  • Present yourself in interviews as a person, not only a CV
  • Choose a next role based on fit with who you are, not just what you're qualified for

Why this matters

Primary pillar: Understanding. This course builds Understanding by explaining why capable people move through job after job after a defining role ends, so the pattern can be named instead of repeated.

Course curriculum

4 lessons. The lesson content itself opens once you start the course.

  1. Lesson 1 · about 10 minutes

    The Job Isn't the Problem

This lesson is here so you can see why job-changing after a defining role ends is often about a missing anchor rather than a missing job, and so you can separate employability from identity.

    • Separate employability from identity
  2. Lesson 2 · about 10 minutes

    Why You Keep Leaving

This lesson is here so you can name the gap between the identity you aspire to and your operational identity, and recognise how that gap shows up in the jobs you accept.

    • Recognise how it shows up specifically in employment choices
  3. Lesson 3 · about 10 minutes

Interviewing as Someone, Not a CV

This lesson is here so you can practise describing your capability in identity terms rather than role terms, and prepare one honest answer to "tell me about yourself".

    • Prepare one honest answer to "tell me about yourself"
  4. Lesson 4 · about 10 minutes

Common questions

How much does Crisis Churn cost?
It is £10 on its own, bought once and yours to keep. If it belongs to a pathway, the four paid courses on that pathway are £20 together, and the free course on that pathway stays free.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. Finishing the course issues an AURIS Certificate of Completion in your name. It records your learning. It is not a qualification, accreditation or licence to practise, which is what the separate AURIS Practitioner Certification is for.
How long does it take, and is it self-paced?
It is self-paced. Once you enrol, every lesson is open, there is no deadline and nothing expires.
Do I need to do anything before this course?
No. You can start here. The courses are written to stand on their own, and a pathway is only a suggested order rather than a requirement.

How AURIS interprets it

  • AURIS names a pattern it calls crisis churn: repeatedly taking jobs that do not fit after a defining role ends, framed by AURIS as an identity pattern rather than a work-ethic problem.

What you do with it

  • You recognise the aspirational-versus-operational identity gap in your own job search and choose a next role based on fit with who you are.
